But I am impressed by the number of actions NBA 2K17 has mapped to two analog sticks and the triggers (and if you didn’t know, you need a controller). If you want to do a mid-air change shot or a post shimmy hook you can do those things, provided you know what they are and how to manipulate the analog sticks to make them happen.NBA 2K17 released last week, and while the game might not have any groundbreaking new modes or features, the major refinements to MyCareer mode make the game markedly better as a single-player experience. The latest version of MyCareer still has some drawbacks, but compared to 2K16’s Spike Lee joint, the difference is night-and-day.
2K16 took a big risk by introducing a story-based career mode (an idea that has since caught on with other games, such as FIFA 17). It was an interesting idea - 2K brought in Spike Lee to write and direct what was essentially a B-level sports movie chronicling the rise of a high-school phenom to the NBA - but the story was heavy-handed, far too serious and, at it’s worst, downright cheesy.
The biggest problem with 2K16’s MyCareer mode, though, was that the story was disconnected from the actual gameplay and actively got in the way of your career in the NBA. In 2K16, your rookie year in the league was reduced to a series of eight games separated by cutscenes. After the storyline finished and the credits rolled, the mode rebooted and you became a free agent who could go anywhere you wanted. 2K16 made MyCareer too much about Lee’s story and disregarded what many players love about MyCareer mode in the first place - game-to-game progression and playing out an entire season as your created player.
2K17 finds more of a happy medium between story and gameplay, but the balance is clearly tipped back towards gameplay. You still choose a college program to sign with and play a few games of college basketball against powerhouses like Kansas or Michigan State, and there’s a cast of characters to interact with, from your college sweetheart to your agent Bruce to your fellow NBA rookie Justice Young (voiced by Michael B. Jordan). NBA 2K17 has just been released and everyone loves the improvements made in the latest instalment of the NBA 2K series. New features have been added to enhance the gaming experience of players.

However, some features that can be used to improve the performance of the characters are quite expensive. Those who want to get ahead of others and want to build MyPlayer in NBA 2K17 in a fast way will have to spend more than 100 dollars to get the necessary upgrades.

Is there any documentation on NBA 2K17’s controls?

Yes! Check out our expanded manual on the web.For placing well in a Blacktop Challenge, you’ll earn two things. One is a large number of draft picks from the board of cards you see at the end of every Quick Game, which can be helpful for racking up large numbers of low level cards to level up your top players.

You also receive Reward Points that can be used to create special cards you can only earn from this mode. To see them, tap the ‘Ultimate Creator’ button from the Blacktop Challenge main screen. What you’ll see is a pyramid of cards ranging from Super Rare to Legendary (at least at the time of this post), that can be created by the use of certain recipes accessed by buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Each recipe requires a certain number of cards: Players, Extras, Enhancements and Abilities, all of which are tracked by the recipe screen except for the players. Once you have the ingredients, you simply tap the ‘Create’ button and you’ll have a new card. The proper number of Reward Points will be deducted when you do. Note that you can also use Credits to make up for any missing cards if necessary.

Blacktop Challenge reward cards appear to be exclusive to the Ultimate Creator and reset on a monthly basis. That’s reason enough to play this mode often, and now you’ve got the know-how to win, Good luck!Once you create your NBA prospect in "The Prelude," you can choose to join the basketball program of one of 10 licensed Division I NCAA squads. The trailer shows the logos of the Arizona Wildcats, Georgetown Hoyas, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Kansas Jayhawks, Illinois Fighting Illini, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans, Oklahoma Sooners, UConn Huskies and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

A 2K Sports representative confirmed to Polygon that the mode will let you play for any of those teams; NBA 2K16’s MyCareer featured 10 schools as well, but the Wisconsin Badgers appeared only as an opponent. Once NBA 2K17 goes live Sept. 16, players will be able to buy all-time great teams for each of the 10 schools with microtransactions, as well as collegiate MyTeam cards for legendary players.

Playing through multiple college games will affect your projected status in the NBA Draft. And if you need some tips, "The Prelude" will include 2KU, a new tutorial mode narrated by 2016 USA Basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Coach K will explain basketball fundamentals such as defensive positioning and the pick and roll, so you’ll learn how to play not just NBA 2K17, but the sport itself.

You’ll also see narrative cutscenes in which your created baller will interact with high school coaches, teammates and others. The characters include a person played and voiced by Matt Walsh of Veep fame; you can see him in the trailer. The proceedings look very different from "Livin’ Da Dream," the much-ballyhooed but poorly received NBA 2K16 story mode that was written and directed by Spike Lee.

“The regular cameras that come with the consoles are simple LED cams,” adds Meekins. “They aren’t like modern cell phones, like the iPhone, which have double or triple the resolution.”

“These front facing cameras—these selfie cameras—are also made to do exactly this,” continues Indra. “And that’s not necessarily what the console cameras were designed for. The Kinect in particular has an incredible camera, but it wants to see the entire room. It wants to see your whole body. It doesn’t like when you try to stand 10 inches away from it.
