This was considered an “average” scan, according to the game. The lighting in my living room is a bit uneven, and 2K recommends taking the photos in even, bright light to get the best possible scan. Still, it’s quite impressive. That is me, for better or for worse; the camera is a lot more honest than I would be with myself. And if I really wanted to, I could sculpt my features further to smooth out any irregularities. Again, here is a picture of me:

NBA 2K17, like the previous games in the series, is based on the sport of basketball; more specifically, it simulates the experience of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Several game modes are included, such as MyCareer, where the player creates a customizable player and plays through their career, MyGM and MyLeague, both franchise modes where the player controls an entire organization, and MyTeam, where the player creates a team to compete against other players" teams. Along with current NBA teams, other teams are included, such as classic NBA teams, national teams, and EuroLeague teams. The game"s soundtrack, which features 50 licensed songs, was curated by Grimes, Imagine Dragons, and Noah Shebib.

Most critics praised the presentation and visuals, as well as the gameplay and amount of content.NBA 2K17 doesn’t launch until Sept. 20, but interested parties can get a leg up on the game’s career mode with "The Prelude," a free download that will be available 11 days early, publisher 2K Sports announced today.
"The Prelude" will allow anyone on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to play the introduction of MyCareer, the NBA 2K series’ single-player RPG mode, starting Sept. 9. That’s a full week before NBA 2K17 itself launches for pre-order customers under 2K Sports’ Early Tip-Off program, and it’s unprecedented in the franchise’s history. It’s also the first time since 2012 in which 2K Sports will offer a pre-release demo, or something like it, for an NBA 2K game.
As you can see in the trailer above, "The Prelude" will feature NBA 2K’s new MyPlayer creation process. In NBA 2K17, your created athlete’s physical attributes — such as height, weight and wingspan — will affect their skills on the court. The game will also connect to the MyNBA2K17 mobile app on Android and iOS; through the app, you’ll be able to scan your face onto your NBA 2K17 MyPlayer. (The app is scheduled to be released Sept. 8.)
