The game creation feature is exclusive to PC and Mac users.

The games library on Roblox isn’t exclusive to a specific gaming platform. For example, let’s say you want to play a restaurant simulator on your Xbox One, but your friend has the game on her tablet. The fact one of you is on a tablet and the other is on an Xbox One doesn’t matter. You can both participate in the game together. “We are creating the worlds’ best virtual universe for imagining with friends,” said David Baszucki, CEO of Roblox. “Bringing Roblox to Xbox is a huge leap forward in our mission to unite and inspire the creators, dreamers and explorers of the next generation.” Certainly, with 15 million people using Roblox each month it’s a compelling claim.


Roblox is already available on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices but until now hasn’t come to consoles. I asked Baszucki if there was there a reason for choosing Xbox over Sony or Nintendo ? “We’ve had a long relationship with Microsoft MSFT +0.35%. So we’re launching on Xbox One with 15 titles especially good for the Xbox.” There’s no news currently about a PlayStation version.
